A Romantic Engagement Session at Chautauqua Park
Rachel and Joe have that kind of connection that just feels good to be around—effortless, grounded, and full of warmth. From the start, it was clear they weren’t after anything overly posed. The images they loved had movement, emotion, and a timeless feel—photos that you could look at years from now and still feel every bit of what was happening in the moment.
They describe each other in the sweetest ways. Joe sees Rachel as dynamic and full of life—someone who constantly surprises him with her creativity and heart. Rachel admires Joseph’s calm presence, his kindness, and the way he grounds everything with quiet strength. Together, they balance and bring out the best in each other.
Their idea of a perfect date is simple and beautiful: flying a small plane, landing in a quiet field, and sharing a picnic under the open sky. That little snapshot says so much about them—intentional, adventurous, and deeply present with each other. We chose to photograph their engagement session in Chautauqua Park, just as the sun was starting to dip behind the Flatirons. It’s the same city where they’ll be married, which made the whole evening feel even more special—like a quiet preview of all the beauty still to come. Open space, golden light, and the kind of images that hold emotion without saying a word.
